Axioma Risk Forum
- On the 9th June 2016 at the Axioma Risk Forum, Bernard together with Dennis Sherwood of The Silver Bullet Machine Company presented their research concerning the systemic nature of risk in financial markets and how Systems Thinking can help to understand the interdependent nature of risk drivers in the financial markets. The presentation illustrated how systemic failure is often caused by the circular feedback consequences of actions taken in response to events.

- Hosted a Practitioner Round Table to discuss Risk and Margin Finance on the 25th June 2015 at the Young Finance Scholars' Conference. Great opportunity to speak to the next generation of finance academics. Fascinating to see how much work is under way to consider the issues of good corporate governance
Attended the premiere of Terry Jones and Theo Kocken's film Boom, Bust, Boom
- Invited to the premiere on the 10th June 2015 of a documentary that combines the humour of Monty Python's Terry Jones with the academic and practical knowledge of Theo Kocken to address the causes of major economic crashes such as in 2008. Not only do they illustrate the importance of behavioural economics, but they stress the importance of the economic analysis of my namesake, Hyman Minsky and the so-called "Minsky Moment"
Imperial College Hedge Fund Risk Challenges and Opportunities - CRO Roundtable
- Part of a panel discussion at Imperial College to discuss the life of a hedge fund CRO on 3rd November 2014. Many of the audience were MSc Risk Management students and were fascinated by the insight into our world.
